Why do my goals not stick and I keep saying "one more year"?

When you picture one more year of work, you are usually picturing the amount you earn, not the amount you keep after taxes, and rarely counting what the year costs you in time and connection. The "One More Year" Reality Check puts both side by side, and helps you deduce why you may have set multiple goals that didn't stick and what needs to change in order for your next goal to feel "enough".

What does my tax bill have to do with the "one more year" I keep promising myself?

The number most people use for one more year is what they earn, not what they keep after taxes. And when the number is reached, it moves: a client at $5 million said one more year, and in a Harvard study three in four millionaires said they would need at least double. Another year only changes something if it changes the shape of your days. Read the post: What your tax bill has to do with the "one more year" you keep promising yourself.

Why do I feel empty after reaching my financial goal?

Because you can reach the number without changing the belief attached to it. If a part of you decided early on that $4M would mean happy, safe or free, arriving at $4M does not rewrite that rule. Your brain is still running the same program. This is the Belief Lock, and it can be changed, not by affirmations, but by finding the belief and building a new pattern around what is actually true for you. Why does my income go up but nothing is left over?

Because your body treats the level you have lived at as a range to defend, the same way it defends your temperature. When income moves above that range, something quietly spends the extra and brings you back. The money moved. The level didn't. This is called homeostasis, and it is the Continuity Lock. Will you spend over $100K on taxes in 2026?

Money goes out for your parents' care, for your kids' college, and for taxes, and there's often not much left over for you. Two of those have little wiggle room. The third we may be able to help with: using some of what would ordinarily go to taxes to do something that grows your own income first. The two-minute Fit Check tells you whether you qualify. The program

What is Strategic Stewardship?

A one-year private program for professionals whose income has stopped growing, or who have the money and not the freedom. You work one to one with a certified coach, two 60-minute sessions a month over Zoom, on the four mechanisms in the body that hold a person at the level they are used to. We call them the Four Locks. Typical results are 2 to 4 times starting income within 24 months, and the program comes with a money-back guarantee.

Who is it for?

People who are excellent at what they do and have at least one of these running: the number at the end of the year hasn't moved no matter how busy they are; the money is good but the freedom it was supposed to buy never arrived; they keep saying "one more year" before the thing that would make them happy; they pay far more in tax than they feel they have a say in; or they've been burned by people they trusted, so everything runs through them. It is built for business owners, partners and employees alike.

I'm an employee, not a business owner. Is this for me?

Yes. The program is built for employees and partners as well as business owners. The four locks work the same way whether you run a company or work for one. Employees can also qualify through Lucrum, and our team will help you with the setup.

Who will I be working with?

You'll be matched with one of our certified coaches, trained in our method. That coach stays with you for the whole year, so you never have to start over with someone new. If you ever want a different coach, you can ask to switch.

How much time does it take?

Two 60-minute sessions a month over Zoom, and the work is done inside them. Between sessions you'll have something small to do most days, usually a few minutes, and occasionally a 30-minute exercise when what you're working on calls for it. You don't need to clear hours in your week.

What actually happens in a session?

It starts with a diagnostic: you explain what has been happening, your coach asks a few questions, then names the pattern that has been running your previous experiences. Your coach explains which lock is producing the pattern, and why it has persisted despite everything else you have tried. Then the work gets done on the call. Your coach guides you through processes that reorganize how your body is working with information, which takes 20 to 40 minutes. You leave with one to three specific actions, sized to keep your progress going between sessions, and you have chat access to your coach in between. Every session is recorded so you can rewatch it whenever you need to.

Is this therapy? Is it spiritual?

It's neither. It isn't therapy, and it doesn't replace medical or mental health care. It also doesn't require faith or belief of any kind, since it is fully based in science. It's practical work with your body, nervous system, and brain. You don't need to be spiritual to do this work. Our clients include people who were skeptical and very logic based when they started. It also doesn't conflict with any religious or faith-based practices or beliefs of any kind.

How is this different from the coaching, therapy and courses I've already paid for?

Business coaching gives you strategy. Your strategy is fine. Therapy gives you insight. You've had insight, and it didn't change the outcome. Courses give you tools you have to remember to use. This works on the mechanism that has been holding you in place, and the work happens in the session rather than in homework you go away to do. The method and the process work are proprietary, and the only other people doing this work are the coaches certified and licensed in it.

Is this confidential?

Yes. Your sessions are private, and private clients are not part of our research study.

The Four Locks

What are the Four Locks?

Most challenges come down to the same four things, and while they are active, working harder won't change the result. The Continuity Lock is your body's drive to keep you the same. The Safety Lock is your nervous system reading a new level as danger. The Belief Lock is the pathways in your brain that were built early and have collected evidence ever since. The Coherence Lock is how well all of your systems work together. Most people have more than one active, and usually all four. We clear the ones that are explicitly blocking you from what you want, so the effort you're already putting in starts paying off. The ten-minute diagnostic names which ones are running for you.

What is the Continuity Lock?

Your body's drive to keep everything the same. It holds your temperature steady, and it holds your life steady the same way: your income, your hours, how much runs through you. It's why your income stays in the same range no matter how busy you get, why any extra gets absorbed by lifestyle creep, and why reaching a goal doesn't register as success. The blog post Why does my income go up but nothing is left over? walks through it.

What is the Safety Lock?

Your nervous system. When you move past the income level you're used to, it reads the change as danger and keeps you on high alert. That's why more money still doesn't bring peace: your body won't let you switch off at a level it doesn't feel safe at yet.

What is the Belief Lock?

Your beliefs are physical. They're pathways in your brain, built from what you learned growing up and strengthened by what happened after. They run subconsciously, and by now they don't feel like beliefs. They feel like facts about the world. It's why someone can reach the number they always wanted and feel nothing. The blog post Why do I feel empty after reaching my financial goal? explains this one.

What is the Coherence Lock?

How well all of your systems work together, and it includes the other three. When the locks are active, your body, your nervous system and your brain are all working to keep the life you have now. The clearest way to see your coherence level is to look at what happened over the last six months compared to what you wanted to happen. That's the level your whole system is currently holding you at.

Results and research

What results can I expect?

Typical results are 2 to 4 times starting income within 24 months, without adding hours, and the lowest increases have been around double. Beyond the number, clients describe the freedom to stay or leave on their terms, a team around them they can trust, work that no longer costs them their sanity, and no more waiting for one more year. Results vary, and some clients' results are well above typical.

Is this being studied, or just sold?

Both. Twenty-eight people are in a two-year research study on the method right now, with a HeartMath Institute researcher consulting on how the HRV data is set up and collected, and revenue results tracked by a third-party bookkeeper rather than by us. Through week 17 the group had added $39,006,489. Clinical trials are planned to begin by March 2027.

Where do the numbers on the program page come from?

Every numbered claim on the program page is listed on the research page with the source behind it, what it found, and what it doesn't show. That includes the studies on homeostasis, cell count, status quo bias, uncertainty and stress, neuroplasticity, trust and coherence, as well as the current study, the 2019 to 2024 client results, and the table of our 22 top-performing clients.

How does the guarantee work?

If your added income and tax savings together don't reach at least double your investment within 12 months, you get your investment back. To qualify, you need to show up to your sessions, do the work, and put what you learn into practice. The full terms are in your client agreement.

Cost, taxes and Lucrum

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. You can pay in full, or in four quarterly payments of $10,000.

Can my taxes cover the cost?

Often, some or all of it. The tax piece is handled separately, through our partner, Lucrum. They sell a business technology package you own outright, which may qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Your own tax advisor makes that call. Many clients find that the tax saving covers some or all of the cost of the program, and because it comes through Lucrum, it doesn't wait on you finding time to act on advice. The two-minute Fit Check tells you whether you may qualify for redirecting some of your tax liability this way. The blog post Will you spend over $100K on taxes in 2026? is about exactly this.

Do I have to use Lucrum?

Lucrum is optional. They sell a business technology package you own outright, which may qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Your own tax advisor makes that call. Many clients find that the tax saving covers some or all of the cost of this program.

Does this work outside the US?

The program does. The tax side, through Lucrum, applies in the US only.

The diagnostic, the Fit Check and the guide

What is the diagnostic?

A free ten-minute conversation about your money and your work. You tap through a few questions, then answer a few in your own words, one at a time. At the end you get your diagnostic, written for you: which of the four locks is holding your income where it is, why what you've tried hasn't worked, and what has to change. You get a copy by email, and you can ask about it or push back for a few exchanges. Nothing is sold inside it. Take it at diagnostic.ssprogram.business.

What is the Fit Check?

A two-minute check, a few taps, that tells you whether Strategic Stewardship is relevant to you right now and whether you may qualify for redirecting some of your tax liability to cover it. It's for people who look successful on paper but feel like something is off. Take it at ssprogram.business/fit.

What is the free guide?

"The solution to the 13 pains successful people have". It's a short PDF about the things successful people can only say on anonymous forums, and what's really happening for them. You can read it on screen and get a copy by email at guide.ssprogram.business.

Getting started

What happens after I apply?

You'll fill out a short application, then book a call with Krystal, our Enrollment Advisor. On the call, you'll talk through your situation and whether the program is a good fit for you.

Can I talk to someone before I apply?

Yes. Book a 30-minute call with Krystal Carity, our enrollment advisor, at book.ssprogram.business. Nothing on the call will obligate or press you to decide anything that day.

Why are you advertising this?

Because we built it for people who need it, and most of them don't know it exists. Ads, events and partnership promotions are how they find out. That's the only reason you're seeing this page.

How do I get in touch?

Email hello@ssprogram.business. Krystal reads it.
